As a Gordon Silver Shareholder, Brigid M. Higgins is widely regarded among her peers and clients for her keen business knowledge and unmatched ability to successfully handle complex insolvency, reorganization, creditors’ rights and commercial litigation cases across a wide variety of industries. Named a 2007 “In Business Person of Influence”, Nevada Super Lawyer for 2008, and a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, Ms. Higgins is well respected in the community for her leadership and commitment.
With previous experience working in the banking industry, Ms. Higgins provides financial insight to her clients when advising them on bankruptcy workout and litigation matters. Ms. Higgins remains active in many professional organizations including the State Bar of Nevada, Southern Nevada Association of Bankruptcy Attorneys, Clark County Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Additionally, she finds time to donate her legal services to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) where she volunteers to champion the best interests of abused and neglected children in court.
Ms. Higgins holds a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles where she was the editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Journal and admitted to the Order of the Coif. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California. She is admitted to practice law in Nevada.
